On January 23rd, Ubiwhere was in Brussels, showcasing URBSENSE for the very first time at Connected Smart Cities & Communities (CSCC). This annual conference organized by Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC), gathers municipalities, policy-makers, researchers and companies in a discussion environment of thematics associated with the development of innovative technologies, markets and policies to address the challenges of the cities of the future.
The theme of this year’s conference was “Scale with Us”, approaching the growing need of upgrading urban digital solutions and adapting them to the citizens needs to offer a better quality of life in cities and communities.
The seminars were distributed into four tracks – Green, People, Economy and Tech – in which remarkable speakers presented their vision on the importance of creating an open and global smart city market for data and services based on cities’ needs.
Ricardo Vitorino, Ubiwhere’s Smart Cities and R&I Manager, disclosed the company’s involvement in projects aligned with European sustainable initiatives and roadmaps in a session of “Green Track” dedicated to the theme “Cities on The Frontier”. Benefiting from this valuable opportunity to introduce URBSENSE as a disruptive neutral hosting solution that leverages on existing urban infrastructure to deploy 5G network services, thus limiting the pollution commonly associated with additional intervention in cities. The platform offers a diversified set of additional sustainable services (EV charging, air quality monitoring, public light optimization e.t.c) aiming to address environmental urban challenges on a daily basis and enhancing the citizens quality of life.
More than disclosing a much more visual presentation of the project than ever before, the presence of Ubiwhere at CCSC represented an excellent occasion to contact with potential users of the platform and renowned researchers and companies of the sector.
